If I Stay (2014) 107 min - Drama Metascore: 47/100 (35 reviews) Life changes in an instant for young Mia Hall after a car accident puts her in a coma. During an out-of-body experience, she must decide whether to wake up and live a life far different than she had imagined. Director:R.J. Cutler Stars:Chloë Grace Moretz, Mireille Enos, Jamie Blackley, Joshua Leonard Watch Trailer Add to WatchlistGet Tickets The Buzz: Acknowledging this movie's inescapable comparisons to The Fault in Our Stars, I can't help but think the story's insular nature and straight-drama feel will keep audiences at bay. That's quite a talented cast, no matter how the film plays or its opening weekend shakes out.

The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014) 122 min - Drama | Romance Metascore: 55/100 (35 reviews) The Kadam family leaves India for France where they open a restaurant directly across the road from Madame Mallory's Michelin-starred eatery. Director:Lasse Hallström Stars:Helen Mirren, Om Puri, Manish Dayal, Charlotte Le Bon Watch Trailer Add to WatchlistGet Tickets The Buzz: Comfort-film specialist Lasse Hallstrom working with dark-toned screenwriter Steven Knight is a somewhat odd pairing (though Knight did just write a chef-y project for Bradley Cooper) but this literary adaptation has been crafted to soothe audiences around the world for the next couple months. A two-tiered romance that features Helen Mirren and Om Puri putting aside cultural differences is the kind of movie that should play well wherever it open and might see ... wow, we really cannot avoid a food metaphor ... people return for second helpings.

Chris Pratt-Nicole Perman

In 1988, following his mother's death, a young Peter Quill is abducted from Earth by the Ravagers, space-pirates led by Yondu, who eventually adopt him. 26 years later, Quill lands on a planet to steal a sphere-artifact only to be intercepted by the Kree, Korath, a servant to the fanatical Ronan the Accuser. Although Quill escapes with the artifact, Yondu discovers he has stolen the Ravager's prize, and issue a bounty for his capture, while Ronan sends the assassin Gamora after the sphere. While attempting to sell the sphere on the planet Xandar, home of the Nova Corps, Quill is ambushed by Gamora, who takes the sphere. A fight ensues, drawing in two bounty hunters, the genetically-engineered raccoon Rocket, and the humanoid tree Groot. The Nova corps arrive and arrest the group, imprisoning them in the Kiln. The prisoners, aware of Gamora's relationship with Ronan, who has led a slaughter of worlds in pursuit of Kree purity, threaten her life. The powerful inmate, Drax, attempts to kill Gamora for the murder of his family by Ronan, but Quill convinces him that he can get to Ronan through Gamora. She reveals that she intended to betray Ronan and keep the sphere, unwilling to let him use its power to destroy entire planets, starting with Xandar. Learning that Gamora has a buyer for the artifact, Rocket, Quill, Groot and Gamora work together to escape the Kiln
